Dimo is the mascot of Roco Kingdom: a small Light-type Jini, blue and white, with yellow ear tips and a yellow V on its forehead. Officially it measures 0.54 to 0.78 m and weighs 5.5 to 7 kg. It's the face of the series, the star of the Quack Quack Test beta and, for many fans, the reason they started playing.

Every creature collector has a face. For Roco Kingdom, it's Dimo. If you've seen a Roco Kingdom trailer, a Steam banner or a beta poster, you've seen this little blue-and-white Jini grinning back at you.

Who is Dimo in Roco Kingdom?

Dimo is the official mascot of the series and a Light-type Jini. On the official website it's the first Jini introduced, with its own size and weight range, and on Steam it fronts the recruitment for the global beta. In the game, Dimo accompanies you on your adventure in Carosia rather than being one of the three starters you choose between.

What does Dimo look like?

A lot of fan art gets this wrong, so here are the details that matter:

  • a blue and white body, not white with a star;
  • yellow tips on its big pointed ears;
  • a yellow V on its forehead;
  • large dark eyes and a wide, cheeky grin.

Because every Jini in Roco Kingdom has individual size variations, your Dimo can be a little smaller or bigger than a friend's: anywhere from 0.54 to 0.78 m.

Is Dimo a starter?

No. The three starters are Sparka (fire), Cerulla (water) and Meevy (grass). Dimo is separate: it's the mascot and a Light-type companion. If you're deciding between the three, see our starter comparison.

Why is Dimo so popular?

Part of it is history. Roco Kingdom has existed since 2010 in China, through a browser game, films and animated series, and a whole generation grew up with its world. Part of it is design: Dimo reads instantly at any size, from a phone icon to a cinema poster. And part of it is attitude. Dimo isn't a sleepy plush; it looks like it's about to run off on an adventure, and it usually is.

Dimo vs Pikachu

The comparison comes up constantly. Both are small, electric-looking mascots with big ears and bright accents. The difference is personality and palette: Pikachu is yellow and round, Dimo is blue and white, sharper, and leans into its Light element with starbursts and sparkles.
